About Us

Eric Strand, LAc, MAcOM, Clinic Director

Eric is a 2001 graduate of the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine, and an eight-year veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Although his medicine allows him to benefit people with all disease patterns, his main focus is on women’s health, pediatric medicine and musculoskeletal disorders including sports and motor vehicle related injuries.

Eric speaks, reads and writes Korean. This has been useful to him in his practice, and when purchasing herbs that most outsiders cannot buy. His unique experiences prior to becoming a practitioner allow him to communicate easily with people from all walks of life and culture. He personally believes that regardless of the form of medicine you seek for healing, the ultimate commitment comes from within; you must have the desire to heal, otherwise no medicine can improve the quality of your life.

Eric is also a published poet and author, and enjoys the arts with his wife of over 20 years.

Daniel DesJardins, DC

Daniel is a graduate of Western States Chiropractic College and has been serving the Gresham/Troutdale community since 2001. Daniel’s strengths include his ability to perform gentle yet effective manipulation coupled with a desire to educate patients regarding all aspects of their care.

Outside of the clinic Daniel is an avid pilot and holds a strong commitment to the Boy Scouts of America. He has a long history of music, growing up with the piano and in later years the trumpet. Prior to becoming a health practitioner, Daniel worked as a software engineer, a skill which has been put to use for our clinic’s practice management software.

Daniel Espiritu, LAc

Daniel graduated from University of California at Santa Cruz with a B.A. in Environmental Science. There he discovered Buddhism, Taoism and martial arts. Jumping into the healing profession with both feet, he graduated from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine in 2006 and has been helping people remove barriers for optimum health and performance through acupuncture, tai chi, qigong and personalized strength training.

Daniel’s approach is in line with that of a spiritual warrior; focusing on building strength from the inside out. He is guided by a universal, heart-centered, humanistic approach, distilling modern and ancient wisdom to its purest essence. He offers services that enable patients to restore harmony within through connecting with their life’s higher purpose. Wellness is an approach to living well physically, mentally, and spiritually. Through integration of body, mind, and spirit, you learn to take whatever life gives you and experience it as an opportunity to express your own perfect health.

“I was drawn to health and fitness early on. To this day it is my mission to be a health care provider who is committed to his own health and fitness in mind, body and spirit.”
